The Urbini Sonti's compatibility is limited to travel systems and strollers within the Urbini line and the base that is provided with the car seat.

Urbini Sonti Car Seat – Installation

Installation is easy and can be done with or without the base. The manual, both provided with your car seat and available online provides excellent diagrams and instructions.

If you are using the base and LATCH system, the Urbini Sonti has lower anchor connectors with a simple push-button design. If you plan on using your seatbelt, installation is likewise easy and secure.

Additionally, the Urbini Sonti has an extra grip belt lock-off on the base. This means that you won't have to worry about whether your seatbelt locks automatically or manually.

The base lock-off releases and opens allowing your fully extended seat belt to be guided through. Then buckle the belt, remove all slack, and close the lock off.

For LATCH Installation:

Position the LATCH belt in the latch path and through the lock-off
With the base on the vehicle, seat attach the LATCH connectors to the anchors
Remove all slack from the LATCH strap while pushing down on the base
Place any excess on the free end of the LATCH strap back through the lock-off and secure the lock-off
Check to make sure the base doesn't move more than one inch in any direction

Without the base just follow the clearly marked seat belt path on the car seat. Buckle the seat belt and tighten.

It is important to note that this seat does not accommodate the shoulder belt being routed behind the car seat. This is also known as Euro routing. The shoulder belt must lay against your vehicle seat back. The lap belt remains routed through the path.

Route the lap/shoulder belt through the guided path and fasten the seat belt
Pull all the slack from the fastened belt while pushing down on the base
Clamp the lock-off closed over the seat belt
Check to make sure the base is secure, not moving more than one inch in any direction

Leave the shoulder belt strap against the vehicle seat
